In Person LTC – Texas License to Carry Permit Course

Kari is a certified instructor teaching license to carry classes in San Antonio at times convenient to you. Previously in Texas the handgun permit was called a Concealed Handgun License (CHL), however this has been changed to License To Carry (LTC). Kari is a Texas Department of Public Safety certified License to Carry instructor and National Rifle Association (NRA) Firearms instructor. She is committed to:

MORE CLASS INFORMATION

Effective January 1, 2016, the State has changed the name of Texas Concealed Handgun License (CHL) to Texas License To Carry (LTC) in order to incorporate the Open Carry Laws into the same program. Our LTC License To Carry class (previously CHL Concealed Handgun License class) includes all State mandated classroom instruction, in addition you must pass the 25 question exam and demonstrate handgun proficiency with our Texas Department of Public Safety certified Texas License to Carry Instructor. Our Texas License To Carry class is completed in 4-6 hours to include all the requirements (excluding fingerprints and State payment) for your Texas License To Carry permit. You will receive your Certificate of Training LTC 100 form upon successful completion.

While it is not a requirement to take this class, our License to Carry class / Concealed Carry class is not a course that teaches shooting, and the handgun proficiency portion of your LTC / CHL class should not be your first experience shooting. If you are a new shooter, we recommend taking our Shooting 101 Basic Pistol Course prior to your License to Carry class / Concealed Carry class so that you feel confident knowing how to safely and properly handle a handgun.
